Justin is shocked when the judge convicts him to 500 hours of community service and court-ordered counseling as he braces himself for the worst in Home and Away.
While Justin is determined to make the most of his second chance, Theo is thrilled to see Justin return as a free man.
Justin apologizes to his family for causing them such hardship and swears to improve after realizing his error.
Following his punishment, Justin starts counseling, but things don’t go well when he snaps at his counselor right once.
She tells him to be patient with his anger management journey, but Justin remains sceptical that therapy can help him.
Justin demonstrates a newfound commitment to counseling when he works on his assignments after the first few sessions.
When he discusses his relationship to his parents’ murder—likely the cause of his anger problems—he has a breakthrough.
Kahu responds that Tane needs workers badly, and when he brashly tells Alf he’ll be working at the gym, it appears he’s already charmed his way into the position.
Later, despite his protests, Kahu dons the gym uniform but is demoted to a purely administrative position.
Cash informs her that she married a man who is all about family when she complains to her that she’d prefer to have Tane to herself.
When Felicity discovers that Tane has offered Kahu permanent employment, she brings up his lack of professional qualifications, leading to conflict with Tane.
After a further appeal from Cash, Felicity is compelled to make Kahu feel welcome and offers him Nikau’s old key.
Across the Bay, Marilyn is excited following Kirby’s successful social media push for Stunning Organics.
Irene finds out that they’ve been including a free coffee with every purchase, which forces the two to give an explanation.
Later, Marilyn notices one sizable order of sunscreen delivered to the surf club and is taken aback by it. She assumes John is responsible.
When Marilyn questions John about his “pity order,” he denies all knowledge, and she subsequently finds out that Alf was the one who actually placed the order.
John and Marilyn both accept Marilyn’s apology and agree that they want to give Jett the finest possible wedding.
Later, Roo offers to purchase goods from Stunning Organics but declines to represent the company’s brand.
Bree is compelled to step in and take Roo to the hospital when Marilyn applies a fresh face mask to her and she complains of a burning sensation.
Xander, who just got home from the hospital, is still preoccupied with planning Jamie’s funeral.
He feels betrayed and asks to attend the funeral when he learns Rose had concealed the fact that the burial was that day.
Rose declines to take him since she doesn’t think it’s the greatest option for his healing.
Rose is furious when Mali shows up later to pick Xander up.
Rose, however, decides to accompany her brother to the burial after receiving some encouragement from Mali to do so.
It becomes apparent later on that Xander is still troubled by survivor’s guilt.
He’s hurt to hear Rose worry that he’s “going backwards” in a talk with Bree after telling her that he’s still having trouble adjusting to Jamie’s death.
Xander struggles to move on, and when Bree finds him on the beach, he tells her about it before telling Rose that he’s considering leaving his job.
Meanwhile, Mackenzie puts on a brave face but privately struggles without Gabe.
Noticing she is not coping, Mali offers his support, but Mackenzie refuses to fall apart for months the way she did last time Gabe left.
Later, when Mali receives a box of his personal things from back home, it hits him that he can’t go back.
Realising she could use the company, Mackenzie asks Mali to move in with her.
