The couple finally get the wedding of their dreams…

Their first attempt to wed ended in a fiery car crash.

But as the scars heal and the pain ebbs, Felicity and Tane have decided they are ready to make it official.

Tane (Ethan Browne) and Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) ask their friends for assistance in organizing the special day after Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) unexpectedly proposed to him on the beach.

Nevertheless, because they are in their own little love bubble, Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) and Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) neglect their promised bridal party responsibilities.

Felicity and Tane say they don’t need wedding planners after all because the wedding is tomorrow, just as they are pleading for forgiveness.

Flick and Tane just want to be married after everything they’ve been through, according to Jacqui, who speaks to TV WEEK.

The day comes after a hasty wedding dress search and venue selection.

In order to move on from the automobile accident that left Eden in a coma and her relationship in turmoil, Flick had to go through her past trauma and dependence on alcohol.

The fact that Flick had the confidence to do that and the success that resulted from it is amazing, adds Jacqui. Flick realized that she needed to work on herself before entering a relationship with Tane.

She learned how to deal with her weaknesses and grew accustomed to them.

Eden helps Felicity prepare her vows and get dressed, while Tane prepares a surprise for his bride: a traditional Maori wedding with a kaikaranga (a caller who greets guests) and traditional poi dancers.

He covers Felicity with a ceremonial Korowai cloak as a sign of his love and protection.

Jacqui says of the Maori traditions, “I was very lucky to see it firsthand.
I was deeply moved. It has been quite moving to learn about the traditions from Ethan. I felt the strain since I had to say my vows in Te Reo Maori. I hope I done justice to the lovely language.

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the couple declare their love for each other and later, toast to the best day of their lives at Salt.

Hip, hip hooray!
