Jessica Redmayne, who portrays Harper Matheson in the newest episode of Home and Away, recently discussed her mother’s Alzheimer diagnosis.

Star of the television show Home and Away Jessica Redmayne has spoken out about her mother’s protracted fight with dementia and acknowledged that it has altered her outlook on life.

The actress, who is 31 years old, made her debut as Harper Matheson on September 27 when she arrived in Summer Bay hoping to rent a room.

Outside of the soap opera, Jessica claimed that after her mother Tina’s diagnosis with early onset dementia in 2014, her family has been experiencing difficulties.

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, she discussed her mother’s health issues and said: “Dad remarked to me, everyone has their s**t, and this is ours. It altered the way I view the world.

It’s quite difficult to realize that they will eventually forget who you are and that they have no idea that I am her daughter. Jessica expressed her pain at her mother’s loss of identity as her daughter and mistaken friendship.

She eventually came to the stage where she recognized my name but was unaware that I was her child, the TV personality stated. She mistook me for her best friend and was unaware that she had children. Recently, Jessica served as the face of Australia’s Dementia Action Week, a campaign to help spread awareness of the disorder, which affects 400,000 people there.

After being named as their newest ambassador, the soap opera star expressed her want to use her experience to help others better understand dementia and to let those who are affected by it know they are not alone. Jessica had roles on several Australian TV programs before her Home and Away debut, such as Wentworth, Fisk, and Neighbours.

The actor, who was born and raised in Melbourne, moved to Sydney earlier this year after being cast as Harper. Fans will learn what Harper is concealing on Friday (September 29) in light of her shady behavior among police officers.

Harper sits down for supper at Irene’s after discussing her sister Dana’s (Ally Harris) run-ins with the law with her longtime friend and Summer Bay police officer Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright). Harper, who insists on cleaning up, takes the leftover food into her room, where fugitive Dana scales the window.
