Martha Cope, a former EastEnders actress, is reportedly making a brief appearance in the ITV serial.
Although little is known about the newcomer, it’s possible that she is linked to Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope), the son of Caleb Milligan (Will Ash), and both.
While Nicky has mentioned Caleb’s mother, no one has actually seen her on film. Caleb has yet to reunite with his enigmatic ex-wife.
When she shows up in the upcoming months, may the two guys be in for a huge surprise?
Fans of soap operas may recognize Martha from her role as Sandy Gibson in EastEnders.
Dotty Cotton’s mother, Sandy, last made an appearance in 2021 and wreaked havoc on the Square.
Her departure was extremely heartbreaking because Sandy overdosed and left Dotty inconsolable.
Between 2013 and 2014, Martha made another appearance in Emmerdale as DC Morden, a detective who looked into a fire at Home Farm.
In other ITV soap news, everyone is relieved after Cathy (Gabrielle Dowling) receives a formal PMDD diagnosis.
Bob (Tony Audenshaw) is sympathetic to Cathy’s predicament, but when her treatment focuses more on managing her symptoms than finding a permanent cure, she feels frustrated and desperate.
Back at the B&B, Cathy surprises Bob by adamantly saying she wants to find a treatment to end her PMDD symptoms. She is agitated and erratic.
Bob, Wendy, and Bernice try their hardest, but Cathy is steadfast in her goal to get rid of her PMDD.
Later, after a heated exchange, Cathy just misses Manpreet when she throws a garden item through a B&B window.
Wendy tries to step in, but Cathy pushes her to the ground in a fit of rage.
Bob rushes to assist, but as Manpreet examines him, he feels a pain in his chest.
When Cathy notices her Dad struggling, Wendy instructs her to leave him, and Cathy bolts off while bleeding from a hand cut.
She lets Liam look at it when he catches up to her, but she quickly draws conclusions.
