Ada Nicodemou, the star of the popular Channel 7 program Home and Away, astounded viewers with a “intense” look behind the scenes.

James Stewart, her co-star, and the 46-year-old actor shared video of themselves looking wounded and battered owing to makeup that looked authentic.

They are embroiled in a shocking Home and Away storyline, which explains their messy appearance.

Leah (played by Ada) and Justin (played by James) are about to have the time of their life after winning a luxurious vacation when they are abducted and held captive for days without access to food, water, or toilets.

Despite the serious plot, neither actor was able to hold back their laughing while the cameras weren’t on.

In the video, which Ada released on Thursday, she can be heard saying, “Well, another one bites the dust.”

“No, but you know, it was really great shooting this because it felt like we were doing a movie because it was just the two of us for weeks on end.”

During the program, hosts Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur unveiled never-before-seen images of Ada and James as children.

But the images of James and his identical brother Nicholas were the ones that left everyone in awe.

The identical duo could be seen in one photo looking at the camera while sporting lovely bowl cuts.

They were both older guys in another photo, with long hair and similar hands-in-the-pocket postures.

Larry made a joke as the pictures appeared, asking, “Were you the cool one or the naughty one because there’s always a naughty one?”

James said, “Oh, we exchanged.

“We traded constantly. We each blamed the other.

“Let me simply say that most of us go through a time where we act nerdy. As yet another picture of James and his brother enjoying long hair and a boho feel showed on the screen, Kylie said, “I’m not seeing your nerdy phase.

Larry jokingly said, “We’re just halfway through the pictures.

A very amazing photo then popped up, leaving Kylie noticeably speechless.

Kylie explained to James, “You and your brother are twins, which people may or may not realize.

“But both of you have girls, and they virtually share a twinlike appearance. See this picture?

In fact, the picture in question featured Scout, James’ daughter with ex-girlfriend Jessica Marais, posing with her cousin Grace, her father, and her uncle.
