Viewers who have been longtime followers of the show saw a side to their favourite characters they were not expecting.

In order to test AI, Home and Away asked it to picture some of the show’s most prominent characters in new roles.

The innovative computer program gave actors Ada Nicodemou, Ray Meagher, Lynne McGranger, James Stewart, and Emily Symons a complete “new career”—and the results had fans in stitches.

“We asked AI to suggest new careers for our Logie Nominees, and this is what it suggested! Who should we do next?” #HomeandAway,” the Instagram feed for Home and Away urged users to use.

In the original version, Leah, played by Ada, was shown as “the biker,” complete with leather attire, tattoos on her arms and breast, spectacles, and leather accessories.

Ray Meagher’s character Alf, who had been converted into a doctor, grinned to the camera while wearing a blue blouse and a stethoscope around his neck.

Irene, represented by Lynne, changed into a dancer wearing a white tutu with sleeve details, while Justin, played by James Stewart, changed into a masseur.

The final image showed Marilyn, a figure played by Emily, posing next to a red fire truck.

The five actors included in the article are all current TV WEEK Silver Logie nominees for Most Popular Actress or Actor.

As soon as they saw the funny AI changes, they immediately started giggling in the comments area.

“Alf as a doctor would be the best 😍,” one Instagram user wrote.

“Alf looks good as a doctor, lol,” another agreed.

“Their ‘away from home’ jobs 🙌,” one added.

“This is too funny 😂 I’m dying, this made my day,” added a third.

Another quipped about Marilyn dressed as a firefighter, given she was recently involved in a bomb blast storyline that sent shockwaves across Summer Bay.

Uncalled for after the bomb event to have Marilyn work as a firefighter, a commenter stated.

Recently, behind-the-scenes video from the bombing was posted online, and it showed actor Kyle Shilling, who plays Mali, warming up on set before the stunt.

Gym mats were placed along a vacant road and a huge blue screen was utilized to simulate the explosion.

Shilling was later seen in the video falling backward off a trampoline and landing on a set of matting to simulate the character being hit by the bomb.

A car was also blown up on a deserted street to depict the car bomb going off.

Fans took to the comments to react to the exciting footage.

“This is awesome to see behind the scenes and how it all works! Thanks for sharing,” a user wrote.

“Oh this so, so cool! A great way of showing it,” a second said.

“So interesting to see how it all comes together behind the scenes❤️!” one wrote.
