Carla Connor's disruption of Stephen's escape plot puts her life in peril in Coronation Street.

Carla Connor of Coronation Street may be endangering herself as she obstructs Stephen Reid’s attempt to escape Weatherfield.

Carla Connor of Coronation Street, played by Alison King, may be in grave peril as she discovers Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) strategies for escaping the cobblestones.

ITV viewers recently observed as the body of Leo Thompkins, who was killed by Stephen last year and played by Joe Frost, was found and identified by the police.

The murderer went to check on the body of his second victim, Leo’s father Teddy Thompkins (Grant Burgin), because he was afraid that his previous atrocities would be discovered.

He was unaware that Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine), who saw him acting suspiciously by the canal, had seen him there.

But Carla is about to learn that Stephen was the one who poisoned her drink with LSD months earlier, so it’s not just Tim who is aware of Stephen’s lies, crimes, and dishonesty.

He isn’t aware that Weatherfield’s citizens are beginning to fit together the pieces of a fairly startling jigsaw puzzle that could lead to his being imprisoned as he plans his quick getaway.

He chooses to travel abroad in a last-ditch effort to obtain freedom after realizing that time is running out and stops everybody who stands in his way.

In another instance, Carla is convinced that Stephen gave her an LSD dose, but the police are unable to corroborate this due to a lack of proof.

She attempts to alert the authorities that he poses a flight danger when she sees a printout of one-way tickets to Thailand in the office.

Carla makes the decision to visit Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), despite the police urging her to keep this knowledge to herself.

She tells her that the police are looking into Stephen and begs her not to travel to Thailand with him since she might be escaping with a potential killer.

Will Jenny take Carla’s request seriously? Or is Stephen going to go to extreme means to prevent Carla from getting in the way?

Todd Boyce, a soap opera actor, hinted that Stephen’s reign of terror might not be finished in an interview with The Mirror at the Inside Soap Awards.

“I couldn’t say if I’ve finished my last scenes,” he admitted. I believe there may be a great deal more to come.

“Whether he was able to escape it is one thing; the audience wants justice. So, a balance must be struck between how much they can get out of it and when they can?
