Leanne’s obsession with the Institute has grown
In the Coronation Street episode from Monday, June 3, last night, Simon Barlow bid Leanne farewell as he left Weatherfield.

After spending the last few weeks on the Institute retreat, Leanne was furious to hear of Simon’s departure.

Fans of Coronation Street have now pleaded for Leanne to be fired and leave the soap opera with Simon.

As viewers are aware, Leanne has been away on an Institute retreat for the past few weeks, so she hasn’t been aware of Simon’s future plans.

Leanne told her when she got home last night that a workshop overran and she had to stay at the retreat for an additional night. She was instructed to turn off her phone.

She complained that no one had informed her when she learned that Simon and Peter were leaving to work on the yacht.

Nick went on to say that he had asked Rowan to forward the message.

Leanne got into her laptop and told someone she missed them after waving Simon off in the cab.

With Leanne being so obsessed with the Institute that she didn’t even know that Simon was planning on leaving, fans have now begged for her to leave the soap and follow in Simon’s footsteps.

One fan said: “Any chance Leanne could leave with Simon?? I really don’t know how Nick puts up with her.”
