Daily Star has delved into the most prolific serial killers that soap-land has ever seen, with one of the four dramas being four times more gruesome than its competitors

According to recent research, one soap has emerged as the most hazardous in the nation.

According to the data done by Spin Genie, since the E4 soap’s 1995 premiere, there have been 147 murders and manslaughter cases. Over the years, there have been around 70 distinct murderers in the play.

The most prolific serial killer on the show was Silas Blissett, portrayed by Jeff Rawle, with 17 deaths to his credit. On the other hand, it is thought that Silas killed up to 100 women.

After dark, Albert Square in EastEnders—the BBC One series with the second-highest number of murders—would likewise be a location to avoid. In its 39-year history, inhabitants have reportedly observed 44 murders and manslaughter cases combined.

However, the math revealed that the show was only averaging one manslaughter or murder case every 155 episodes. However, Emmerdale, an ITV soap opera, did not fare much better, coming in third place despite having seen 38 kills thus far.

Coronation Street came in last on the chart, with the cobbles being the safest spot in soap opera land. They committed 32 murders and manslaughters on average.

Looking back over the years, it’s undeniable that the soap operas have featured some of the most repulsive and brutal killers ever. Meena Jutla from Emmerdale was one of them more recently.

When the nurse waltzed into the village in 2020, everyone soon came to know her as Mad Meena. She started flirting with Billy Fletcher in her very first scene, and it was clear she was going to cause a lot of trouble.

However, no one could have predicted that she would go on to become one of the most infamous murderers in soap history. Meena attempted to steal the life of Nadine Butler, her former closest friend, before killing her with a vehicle gassing.

Subsequently, Ben Tucker emerged, having unearthed video footage featuring the nurse at the center of an attempted homicide. It goes without saying that Meena killed Ben by beating him to death with a wooden oar since she wasn’t going to reveal her secret.

As for Gray Atkins, he’s been called one of the worst killers Walford had ever seen on BBC’s EastEnders, which is saying something when you compare him to somebody like Nick Cotton.

His murderous rampage and mental abuse that began in 2019 will haunt many viewers for eternity, especially considering the pretty horrific crimes that have occurred in the square throughout the years. His first victim was his wife Chantelle, who was shoved onto an upright knife in the dishwasher despite having planned to leave him.

Gray had the opportunity to save his wife because she did not pass away right away, but he chose to let her go while pretending that a horrible catastrophe had happened.
