EastEnders heartache as desperate Denzel Danes holds vigil for missing Nugget

Since his teenage son Nugget fled Albert Square last month, viewers of EastEnders have seen Ravi Gulati deflated.

EastEnders citizens suffer as a distraught Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) attends a vigil for the missing Davinder ‘Nugget’ Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury).

Fans of the BBC soap opera observed last month as the teenager learned that his dad, Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), was to blame for the death of his grandpa.

Nugget decided to leave Walford to get away from the distressing news and hasn’t let anyone know where he is now.

Unbeknownst to everyone, Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), who despises Ravi, is the only person who has spoken to Nugget.

After calling the police to report his son missing, Ravi appears to be in for heartbreak when they find the teen’s phone.

Suki makes a covert call to Nugget as Ravi is sick with worry as they admit they want to dredge the canal after his mobile was discovered nearby.

Nugget considers this advice and texts his dad to let him know he’s OK and that everything is fine.

When he goes to the police to try and find out where he is, he is deflated to learn that they believe the message to be a cruel hoax.

Ravi believes it is pointless when Nugget’s friend Denzel decides to organize a vigil for the kidnapped teen in the Square Gardens with all of his friends.

Suki and Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) insist that it might be what is required to return Nugget to his family.

When Nugget eventually goes back home, he might be bringing Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy), who was Ravi’s ex-girlfriend, with him.

Avani (Aaliyah James), Ravi’s daughter, who he was unaware of, will accompany her, so she won’t be traveling alone.

Executive Producer Chris Clenshaw said the following about the two newcomers: “We’re excited to introduce Priya and Avani, two women guaranteed to cause big drama in Albert Square.

“Little is known about Ravi and Priya’s failed relationship, but she represents a significant gap in his history.

We’re thrilled to welcome Sophie and Aaliyah to the EastEnders family.

“The revelation that he’s got another child will floor Ravi, and he is set to face a big challenge in his life when he is forced to cope with such a big shock to the system.
