The EastEnder Lorraine Stanley looks amazing in denim shorts as she proudly shows off her remarkable five stone weight loss. This comes after the actress revealed in an emotional statement made in August that Karen Taylor, the character she plays on the BBC soap opera, would be permanently leaving the show.
The 47-year-old actress, who purchased a £2 Zara T-shirt from Vinted, an online marketplace, was beaming as she posed in her garden. Lorraine appeared to be enjoying the lovely weather, as evidenced by the barbecue that was set up in the background.
Lorraine shared a before and after photo taken a year apart to show off her weight loss over the past year. She credits healthy living for her new appearance.
The soap opera actress wrote, “It’s amazing how much a year can change. Five stone lighter, content, living a clean and healthy lifestyle, a new me, a healthy mother. At 40, fit.”
Lorraine appears to be happier than ever despite leaving EastEnders; she was able to find another role after leaving the soap opera. She declared that she would be appearing in the Dick Whittington pantomime in Portsmouth this year as Queen Rat.
The actress, who is from the coastal city, will have a holiday performance at the Kings Theatre.
She posted on Facebook, expressing her excitement: “I’m so excited for this!!!! It’s going to be an epic panto in my hometown with my old friend Jack Edwards!!! Get your tickets for Ratty’s upcoming performance at Kings Theatre as soon as possible. I’ll see you after the show Xxx.”
Lorraine shared a link to the tickets along with a picture of her post on Instagram.

She has been working since leaving EastEnders, though, as she recently started filming for the upcoming movie Departures, which is being directed by Neil Ely and Lloyd Eyre-Morgan.

After the murder of Karen’s son Keanu was revealed to the people of Albert Square, Lorraine announced a funeral.
Lorraine disclosed, when talking about the potential to rejoin the series: “You’ll just have to wait and see. I am limited in what I say, as you are aware.”
“I would assume there will be some kind of funeral, as you are aware. I’m not permitted to speak at all!”
