After spotting three significant hints, EastEnders viewers believe that Max Branning (Jake Wood) will be moving back to Walford.
After a failed relationship with Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), the womanizer decided to leave Albert Square in February 2021, feeling as though he had nothing left to live for.
Abi Branning, his granddaughter, helped him start a new life in Croatia. However, in December, Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa), who had previously lived with her father in New Zealand, revealed that he had abruptly left after having an affair with her best friend.
Jossa announced on Saturday that she would be reprising her role as Lauren, leaving some viewers of the BBC One soap opera wondering if her on-screen father Max would also return.
Max has yet to learn that he had a daughter with Linda, the landlady at the Queen Vic, during their three-year affair.
