Viewers of the ITV program Emmerdale have criticized Lydia Dingle’s choice in the most recent episode.

The character in Emmerdale made a snap judgment after Lydia Dingle’s (played by Karen Blick) rape.

In Wednesday’s episode of the drama, Lydia made the decision to “burn the evidence” of her attack, which has angered viewers of Emmerdale.

In the episode, Lydia went into the woods and lit the clothes she was raped in on fire.

The decision was questioned on social media by several fans who thought she was going to the police station as they watched in terror.

Leah Allen posted on Twitter, saying, “Lydia, no! Don’t burn the proof.

If anyone has to experience what Lydia did, Todd admonished, “Don’t do whatever she did afterwards. #Emmerdale.”

“#Emmerdale so now the entire woods will catch fire,” Bernice wrote. Why couldn’t they fabricate a scene in which Lydia reported it to the police?

Pam wrote: “Poor Lydia may be denying her terrible attack, but many will believe her. Talking about what happened to her makes it real, which must be difficult for her to go through again. She must, however, report it. This man believes that what he did wasn’t illegal. He is a significant predator in Emmerdale.

Mika continued, “Burning the proof! This story’s direction has been taken in the most disappointing way. #emmerdale.”

What’s wrong with #Emmerdale’s authors, Rosie raged? a very bad plot.

On the ITV soap opera earlier this week, Lydia’s childhood friend Craig Redd (Ben Addis) sexually assaulted her.

When she arrived home, she sobbed in the shower because he had harassed her at work.

Will Craig get away with the assault or will Lydia ultimately call the police to report the crime?
