Spoilers for General Hospital hint at Ava Jerome (Maura West), Laura Collins’s ex-daughter-in-law, will soon be reunited with Genie Francis.

When Ava greets Laura back in town and acts as though she’s positive she didn’t find Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) during her travels, these two are sure to have an interesting conversation.

Without further ado, Ava heads straight to Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) to try and solve this puzzle.

Ava will be at a loss for words upon learning that her cherished ex-husband is alive. She knows for a fact that he is. Austin even gave her confirmation. But Ava might have a lightbulb moment when she thinks back to that memory.

Ava won’t be pleased with Austin’s answer when she rushes to ask him questions. Does he genuinely believe Nikolas was dead when he was placed in the tack room?

How come he wasn’t? Could he have been taken by Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) and someone nursed him back to health? Austin is a doctor, but Mason isn’t.

Austin will not be happy with the direction the conversation is taking as she begins to finally make sense of the puzzle pieces. He probably won’t stop at anything to stop it.

Laura will begin to suspect Ava knows more than she’s letting on, while Ava keeps becoming more skeptical of Austin and Mason’s roles in whatever happened to Nikolas after she bludgeoned him over the back of the skull.

She previously told Laura that after their argument, Nik seemed to be planning to leave town. However, Laura will find it difficult to believe that Nik would simply up and leave everyone without even saying goodbye or attempting to get in touch again. She felt that he had matured, even though it’s not exactly out of character for him.
