Of course, even though it appears to them that Tracy is hesitant to approach Gregory due to his choice to ask Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to go to Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) wedding, the reality is that Tracy is much more terrified of what would happen to her if Gregory returned her feelings for another man.

General Hospital Spoilers — Gregory is Dying

Gregory is always considering what is best for other people. He also understands very well how his deteriorating health impacts everyone in his immediate vicinity.

Being an excessive burden or upsetting someone he loves about is the last thing he wants, and Tracy has gradually turned into one of those people.

Gregory has been able to witness a side of Tracy that he may have wished he had known about earlier, despite the fact that it wouldn’t have made their romantic relationship any less awkward given that he is living on borrowed time.

It’s obvious that Tracy is still grieving for her late husband. Since Luke’s death came so unexpectedly and left her without a corpse or concrete answers she could accept, perhaps there is something therapeutic about Gregory’s approaching death that will allow her to grieve both of these men in a healthier way.

Will Tracy be able to face her own mortality and realize that Luke has moved on to a better place as a result of Gregory’s decline? Could Gregory’s suffering and suffering make her grateful that Luke didn’t end up that way?
