He has a lot to celebrate today!

On General Hospital, there is never a dull moment thanks to actor Jon Lindstrom, who plays Kevin Collins and also scares viewers as locked-in Ryan Chamberlain. Lindstrom now has another another cause to be joyful.

Happy Birthday, Jon Lindstrom

That’s because this amazing performer is celebrating his 65th birthday today. He was born on October 18, 1957, in Medford, Oregon. Early on, Lindstrom caught the acting bug. After graduating from the University of Oregon, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting studies under the guidance of eminent acting coaches like Lee Strasberg and Stella Adler.

Following appearances on Voyagers!, Square Pegs, and Call to Glory, his debut on camera was on the popular comedy series The Facts of Life. He assumed control of Brady Chapin in the syndicated daily series Rituals in 1984.

Later, Lindstrom had appearances in the comedies Rocky Road and Santa Barbara on NBC. He portrayed Jerry Daniels on the former and Mark McCormick on the latter. Following that, she had cameos in shows including Baywatch, Empty Nest, and 21 Jump Street.

But Lindstrom is best known for playing both Kevin Collins and Chamberlin simultaneously. He joined the General Hospital ensemble in 1992 as the serial killer Ryan before switching to the role of Kevin in December 1993. Lindstrom served as the showrunner for the spinoff series Port Charles, which aired from 1997 to 2003 and costarred Kin Shriner and Lynn Herring.

Lindstrom is renowned for his musical talent in addition to his acting career; as a drummer, he recorded the CD Feel Free to Do So, which received high praise from industry insiders.

The Hard Easy and How We Got Away With It are two films that he has also written, produced, and directed. Since 2014, he has been wed to Days of our Lives actress Cady McClain. They both appeared on As the World Turns, where she portrayed Rosanna Cabot and he played Craig Montgomery from 2006 until 2010.
