Jett James, who was last spotted on Home and Away almost four years ago, has received some good news.
In the Australian episode of Channel 7 on Thursday, John Palmer provided the news.
John was overjoyed to share with his ex-wife Marilyn Chambers that their former foster kid had proposed to his girlfriend.
As John and Marilyn talked about how they could contribute to the wedding expenses, the revelation appeared to start a new plot thread for Marilyn.
John revealed to Marilyn during their conversation that he proposed to Lindsey and she accepted.
“I sensed that this was going to happen when I was down because they were so in love. You two will get along like a house on fire because [Lindsey is] wonderful.
John disclosed that Jett and Lindsey had chosen to have a low-key wedding because they wanted to use their funds to save for a down payment on a home.
John told Marilyn that he wanted to offer the happy couple the best of both worlds by paying for the wedding, even though he respected Jett for being so pragmatic.
John made it clear that he didn’t care about the cost and that they could describe it as a joint present.
Marilyn was adamant about paying her fair share, but she quickly started to worry about how she would get the money. She thought about working more hours at the diner and looking for a part-time employment, but will she be successful?

Jett was played by Will McDonald as a show regular between 2012 and 2015. He returned for guest stints in 2017 and 2019.
Jett’s most recent storyline explored how he was affected after losing the use of his legs in an explosion while serving for the armed forces.
