Home and Away and Neighbours star Andrew Morley shot to fame in Australia for his roles on the long-running soaps but has now shifted his attention away from acting

A popular character from Neighbours and Home and Away has taken an unexpected career turn.

When Andrew Morley was cast as Spencer Harrington on Home and Away in 2013, he shot to popularity. 2015 saw the 34-year-old depart from the serial opera following two turbulent years in Summer Bay.

Andrew played Jack Callahan on the rival soap opera Neighbours, joining the cast just a year later. Although Andrew’s tenure on Ramsay Street was just for two years, he returned to the show in 2020 to celebrate the soap opera’s 35th anniversary as Jack.

The actor, who was formerly a well-liked character on Australian television, has now started a surprising new career. These days, Andrew has a key role in the caravan storage sector.

Through his business, Store My Van, the former soap star oversees the storage of over 2600 caravans across 11 sites in Victoria, providing undercover and outdoor storage for caravans, boats and trailers.

His unexpected leap into the world of caravans couldn’t be further away from his early career, but it has proven to be just as successful. Six of his 11 sites opened within the last four years.

Andrew also shared his plans to open a 12th site in Keilor, the north-west of Melbourne. He aims to expand to every state in Australia within the next five years.

On top of this, the TV star also works as a full time firefighter. In 2018, Andrew married his long-term partner Jay Haggar.

The couple welcomed their first child the year before, while Andrew is also step-father to his partner’s two children from a previous relationship.

When co-star and on-screen brother Johnny Ruffo passed away last year, Andrew was crushed. The actor lost his fight with brain cancer at the age of 35.

In a poignant Instagram message, Andrew honored Johnny, who portrayed Chris Harrington from 2013 to 2016. “RIP Johnny,” he said, tagging a photo of the two smiling together on set. You are such a delight to be around every day, and your clever, cheeky humor will never go away. Both on and off screen, a brother.”
