Home and Away producers reveal secrets behind stunning moment fan favourite is blown up by explosion

Fans’ favorite Kyle Shilling’s character Mali was shown being violently blown off his feet in an episode of Home and Away earlier this month, shocking viewers.

Producers have now made behind-the-scenes videos available, revealing the brilliant special effects used to create the spectacular sequence.

The actor, 28, used a small trampoline to throw himself into the air in the video that was uploaded to TikTok to create the appearance of Kyle being blown apart.

Kyle was observed falling through the air and landing on his back, and gym mats were utilized to cushion his fall and prevent injuries.

A ‘flash’ lighting effect was used in the meanwhile to mimic the explosion of a bomb.

In order to “insert” Kyle’s fall into a scene of an actual explosion, a sizable blue screen was also employed.

Fans praised the authors of the violent scene on social media.

‘This is great to see behind the scenes and how it all works,’ one spectator wrote in a remark. Please keep spreading.

Another fan said, “Oh my god, this is so cool!”

Another viewer remarked, “So interesting to see how it all comes together behind the scenes.”

After filming the eerie sequence, Kyle told 7Life that it was “hands-down the most full-on day I’ve ever had when it comes to filming.”

‘I’m happy I was surrounded by such a fantastic crew and an awesome director,’ he continued.

It clearly demonstrates the love the character has for his pals. As an actor, being able to carry out a performance like this is a dream come true.

Mali, played by Kyle, was attempting to save his friends in the gripping Home and Away plot when he discovered a bomb was poised to destroy Summer Bay.
