Things get awkward between the former couple.
Mali Hudson and Rose Delaney from Home and Away will argue once more in scenes airing in the UK the following week as the former pair tries to rebuild their ties after divorcing.
In scenes that aired on Channel 5 in the UK last month, Mali and Rose split up because of Rose’s reaction to her brother Xander Delaney being hospitalised after a horrific attack, which worried Mali.
Rose has been harbouring feelings for Mali ever since their breakup, and this week she tries to kiss her ex after he teaches her how to surf, but Mali rejects her efforts.
After feeling embarrassed, Rose thinks it’s time to stop seeing Mali for good. The following week, she makes the decision that the wisest course of action is to stay away from Mali at all costs. But despite my best efforts to avoid Mali, he suddenly appears to be everywhere.
Rose asks Xander repeatedly for information on Mali’s location so she may stay far away from him in order to help her avoid him.
Xander strikes a contract with Mali because of a desire to stop serving as the intermediary between Rose and Mali. As long as Mali sorts out her relationship with Rose, he pledges to watch over Mali’s unstable flatmate Mackenzie Booth when she returns to work at Salt and struggles with her grief over the passing of her partner Gabe Miller.
Mali keeps his promise and tries to reach out to Rose, but she rejects him, which throws a wrench in the plan. Mali decides to be more direct and arrives at Rose’s door with his work schedule for the coming week, telling her that he is now making it very simple for her to avoid him.
Angered by Xander’s intrusion into her affairs, Rose confronts him, but her brother forces her to confront the truth and realise that she must confront her issues head-on.
Mali is finally confronted by Rose, but he ends up getting himself into trouble because he can’t explain himself.
Thankfully, a quick apology and a walk through the pines together help the pair to share viewpoints, and they decide that the best path forward now is for them to try and be friends.
