The couple have received praise from Emmerdale stars

After receiving support from Emmerdale stars, a real-life couple has been moved to tears.

Millions of fans of Emmerdale are familiar with Laura Norton and Mark Jordan from their roles as Kerry Wyatt and Daz Spencer on the ITV soap opera. Jesse, Mark and Laura’s three-year-old son, and Ronnie, their one-year-old daughter, have been diagnosed with Usher syndrome.

The rare genetic disorder impairs hearing, vision, and, in certain situations, balance. It is incurable. Laura and Mark have been actively advocating for research and increasing awareness of the condition on a regular basis.

Amy Walsh, who plays Tracy Metcalfe on ITVBe’s Drama Queens, celebrated the couple in the show’s series finale. Drama Queens chronicles the lives of some of our favorite soap opera stars.

“We wanted to express our gratitude to you both for your outstanding work. Everyone seated around this table finds inspiration in you. But your two babies are the most important people to whom you are an inspiration,” Amy remarked.

“We’re really proud of the work you’ve accomplished, we’ll be there for you at every turn, and we’ll do everything in our power to support you.”

“There are things that wouldn’t have happened if you two hadn’t been brave enough to stand up, own it publicly, dealing with your own emotions and still put yourself out there to try and help others,” said colleague Roxy Shahidi, who plays Emmerdale’s Leyla Harding.
