Kate Ritchie, a former cast member of Home and Away, visited her old haunts in Palm Beach over the weekend because she was feeling nostalgic.
For the exterior sequences of the popular soap, Palm Beach is used to represent the fictitious coastal town of Summer Bay.
The 44-year-old actress, who became famous for playing Sally Fletcher in the acclaimed series, uploaded a picture of herself admiring the scenery and soaking up the sun.
As she ascended to the area’s well-known lighthouse, she was dressed in a black baseball cap, T-shirt, and matching black hoodie that was slung over her shoulders.
In the post, the Australia’s Got Talent judge alluded to her earlier days as a child star.
Kate captioned the picture, “Heading home and filling my cup today.”
It has been confirmed that the radio personality will resume co-hosting her regular segment on Monday’s Kate, Tim & Joel drive-time show on Nova FM.
After being charged with drunk driving, there were rumors in the media that Ricki-Lee Coulter may take Kate’s position. However, a network spokeswoman has verified that this is not the case.
After being pulled over by police in her blue Subaru station wagon on August 22 for a breath test at random, Kate blew above the legal limit.
She was detained right away and escorted to the Maroubra Police Station where she underwent a secondary breath test. The result showed a positive reading of 0.06, which is just a little bit over the permitted limit of 0.05.
Kate received an immediate $600 fine and a three-month driving ban.
Since then, she has expressed regret for her behavior and claimed she made a “bad judgment.”
“Recently, I took a breathalyzer test at random. The test proved positive, despite the low amount, she said on Instagram.
“I made a bad choice, and I am aware of how severe my acts are,” the speaker said. I sincerely apologize.
On the day of the incident, at 2.45 pm, Kate was pulled over by police for a random breath test on Heffron Rd in Pagewood.
‘She was handed an infringement notice for the offence of Drive with Low Range Prescribed Concentration of Alcohol and issued a Licence Suspension Notice,’ a police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia.
