Even though Willow Tait on GENERAL HOSPITAL has only been there for a short while, her life in Port Charles has already been rather eventful, filled with romance, heartache, and secrets! You can find out anything you want to know about the stunning young lady right here! Actress Katelyn MacMullen has portrayed the character since it was first introduced in October 2018.

Willow, Aiden’s teacher, was introduced. She met in private with Liz and Franco to discuss the little kid, who had been behaving withdrawn and finding it difficult to make friends at school. Her next sighting occurred at the end of the month, when she bumped into Harrison Chase in the hospital parking garage while heading to a meeting for grieving groups that Michael Corinthos was also attending.

The newborn Wiley was adopted by Brad Cooper and Lucas Jones, and it was later discovered that Willow is Wiley’s biological mother. Julian persuaded Willow to distance herself from the child and stop being involved in his life. As Willow grew closer to Wiley and felt a draw toward the young kid, she was unaware that he wasn’t truly her son because the baby she had given birth to had passed away in his crib and Brad had agreed to trade babies with Nelle Benson. Then it was revealed that Willow had once belonged to the Dawn of Day cult and that Shiloh, the group’s leader, was the father of her child!Willow’s mother Harmony made an effort to persuade her to rejoin the group, but she was done with them.

Upon discovering that Wiley was his son, Shiloh promptly sought to kidnap the child for his own gain. Fortunately, Willow’s new partner, Harrison Chase, was a police officer and defended her. When Shiloh’s death put an end to his reign of terror, Willow was shocked to see her mother arrive at her home after being freed from jail. Although Harmony claimed to be changing her ways, Willow was unaware that she was now employed by the evil drug dealer Cyrus Renault!

When Willow found out about the baby exchange and realized that the child she had given birth to had died more than a year ago, she was devastated. Willow had become so close to Wiley. Willow stayed involved in Wiley’s life while Michael took up his parenting, and when Nelle wanted her son back after her release from prison, Willow volunteered to do everything in her power to support Michael in keeping custody of the young child. Willow, however, turned down Sasha Gilmore’s proposal that she wed Michael in order to start a family that would guarantee the judge would allow him to retain Wiley.

However, Willow and Michael got married in order to oppose Nelle in court when Sasha and Chase gave the impression that they were having an affair. But as time went on, their bond became so strong that sentiments persisted even after they discovered the falsehood that had initially brought them together. Willow was therefore remained a part of Michael’s life even as she started to get back in touch with Chase (and not just because she moved into the gatehouse instead of the Quartermaine mansion!).

Willow’s attempt to end things with Chase abruptly failed when the police officer became very unwell and had to be admitted to the hospital just before Michael and Willow were set to announce their official reconciliation! Willow reluctantly agreed to Chase’s proposal because she thought he would die from Peter’s poison. But once they were married, Willow became trapped and Chase recovered. She continued to have an affair with Michael in secret, but ultimately word got out and Chase saw them sharing a bed! After Willow expressed regret and acknowledged the truth, they both decided to get an annulment.

After that, Willow was free to be with Michael and assist him in raising Wiley, but she became worried when he made Nina Reeves pay for keeping Sonny away from his family for several months. She also acknowledged that she wasn’t quite ready to accept his proposal when he made it.

Sadly, Willow overheard Sonny and Nina talking, and when she was asked to testify in Nina’s criminal trial, she disclosed that the two had been in love when living in Nixon Falls. Next, Michael took a moment to become enraged with Willow!

When Willow couldn’t find her birth certificate, which she needed to obtain a passport in order to travel with Michael, things took a regrettable turn. After acting strangely, Harmony disclosed in private to Alexis Davis that Willow’s biological mother, Joan, also resided in the commune, and that’s why there was no birth certificate. Douglas obtained a fake birth certificate on her and their orders to raise Willow. After Michael looked into it, Willow was shocked to see that her birth certificate was missing!

Willow was even more devastated when her mother was struck by Sasha’s car and was on the verge of death, all the while Willow and Nina were still at odds over Wiley’s visitation! Even worse, Harmony vowed to keep Carly’s true mother a secret even after she passed away, despite having acknowledged that Willow wasn’t her daughter! While grieving for the person she believed to be her mother, Willow received a DNA test result indicating that she and Harmony were unrelated.

Willow was unaware that Carly had conducted her own DNA test and established Nina’s biological motherhood while she supported Michael and testified in court to keep Nina away from Wiley! Willow too kept having dizzy spells, but she didn’t know what secret Carly was holding. She was shocked to learn she was pregnant when she eventually visited the doctor! Dr. TJ Ashford, however, expressed concern that more testing was necessary because her symptoms had begun long before she became pregnant. Willow joyfully announced to Michael that he would soon become a father, but she omitted to bring up TJ’s concerns for her well-being.

When Willow found out she had leukemia, she was devastated and decided not to tell anyone because she knew Michael would make her get treatment. Unfortunately, she was at stage four by the time the baby was robust enough for her to wait. When Nina continued to see Willow and TJ together and made snap judgments, the tension between Willow and Nina also grew. TJ and Willow were at the hospital when Michael learned of this, and Willow eventually disclosed her diagnosis. He grudgingly agreed to continue keeping it a secret from everyone else, but he gave his unwavering support.

In an attempt to locate a bone marrow donor, Willow made the decision to look for her biological mother and sought Drew Cain for assistance. Sadly, Carly intervened to prevent the reality that Nina was Willow’s mother from being revealed, even though she was ignorant of Willow’s diagnosis! Willow told Drew about her diagnosis in hopes that he would realize how crucial it was to find her mother, and he promised to continue looking. Sadly, because she had waited so long, the chemotherapy wasn’t working, and the hospital’s discovery of a bone marrow donor turned out to be faulty. And Willow was taken to the hospital in a state of desperate need when she passed out once more!

Willow was shocked to discover that Nina is her biological mother when she finally came to. Sadly, Nina proved not to be a match; nonetheless, Terry proposed that they utilize the baby’s stem cells to treat Willow’s leukemia. In an attempt to save their lives, Willow consented to give birth early.

Willow almost passed away after childbirth, but Michael’s cries for her to return to him prevented her from joining Harmony in the light. After naming their daughter Amelia Grace, Michael and Willow were devastated to discover that they had not collected enough stem cells. Michael and Willow made the hasty decision to tie the knot since they thought their time was running out. Nina was still not welcomed, even after she persuaded Michael to invite Sonny to the wedding. Following a lovely ceremony, the SEC showed up to interrogate Carly about insider trading, interrupting the reception.

An irate Willow passed out and needed to be taken to the hospital as soon as Michael admitted to her that he had used Dex to obtain proof in order to bring Sonny down. Willow was running out of time, so she pushed Nina to put her grudge against Carly aside and Michael to make amends with his father. Liesl Obrecht, Nina’s aunt, was discovered to be a match, but the transplant was postponed due to her kidnapping. Obrecht eventually made it back to Port Charles, where Willow accepted her donation that had saved her life.

Following her recovery, Willow went back to work at the hospital, but she couldn’t shake the nightmares Harmony was trying to warn her about. After attending Sonny and Nina’s wedding, she and Michael couldn’t figure out why Nina was so averse to spending time with them and Wiley. She learned the truth on New Year’s Eve when she learned that Michael had used Nina’s decision to turn Carly and Drew in to the SEC as leverage to force her to avoid their family. Willow pushed Michael away because she was so upset with him for lying to her, but by Valentine’s Day, they had made up. Michael begged Willow to utilize her nursing talents to keep Jason alive when he seemed shot but alive.Fearing that her employment would be jeopardized, she asked Michael to have Spinelli hide her trail.

As 2024 went on, Willow started to doubt her decision to become a nurse because it would keep her away from the children.
