According to Y&R teasers, Mamie’s return is largely motivated by her desire to spend more time with her family, a sentiment she just expressed to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).

Johnson might think that by returning to Genoa City, where Lily, Devon, and Nate are still at odds, she can facilitate the trio’s reconciliation. She might also think that by owning a sizable portion of Chancellor-Winters, she can persuade Hastings to rejoin his “family” business and leave Newman Enterprises.

Mamie Johnson Hasn’t Forgotten About Jill Abbott, According to Y&R Spoilers

However, the Y&R drama was eager to remind viewers of the historic conflict that Jill and Mamie previously had during the episode that aired on Wednesday, September 27.

This animosity was on display at the encounter between the ladies at the town’s bicentennial banquet.

Fans who might not have seen the program in its early seasons, however, received a wonderful overview of the rivalry between Ms. Abbott and Ms. Johnson.
