In upcoming EastEnders scenes, Rocky Cotton’s (Brian Conley) attempts to hide how out of control his gambling has become backfire spectacularly.

Rocky initially experienced severe financial difficulties as a result of his ex-girlfriend Jo’s (Vicki Michelle) decision to blackmail him.

This was due to the fact that he was a bigamist because he married Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) while still legally wed to her.

Kathy eventually spent her entire life savings and took out a loan to maintain Jo’s silence.

Rocky, however, has been unable to contribute his share of the repayments now that the loan must be repaid, which has caused him to begin gambling behind his new wife’s back.

How is he going to pay for that? Kathy believes that it’s time for them to find their own place.

His initial strategy is to sell more cars in an effort to increase his revenue quickly. He will then use the additional commission to safeguard his and Kathy’s future.

But when that doesn’t work, he comes up with another plan: to reclaim their former home.

Rocky wants to move back in with Cindy (Michelle Collins) and Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), so he intends to defeat them.

The peace negotiations quickly devolve into chaos though once they realize his true intentions.

Rocky and Kathy are forced to start looking for a place of their own the following day.

Kathy is eager to put down a deposit on a studio apartment for the two of them, but she has no idea that they lack the funds to do so due to Rocky’s excessive gambling.

Will Rocky’s gambling lead to Kathy losing everything in the end?

After it was claimed that the cast’s executives would forbid the actor from performing in a pantomime during the run-up to Christmas this year, Brian Conley’s departure from EastEnders was officially announced last month.

As a result, his character may have a turbulent few months as his storyline comes to a close just in time for his departure. Viewers will have to pay attention to find out what happens.
