EASTENDERS’ Freddie Slater is set to make a long-awaited return to Albert Square this autumn, but a new theory by Express.co.uk suggests he’s coming back to announce some tragic news.

After spending more than ten years away from the soap opera, Freddie Slater (played by Bobby Brazier) is returning to Walford. In order to start a new life with his mother, the EastEnders character, who is the son of Maureen “Little Mo” Slater (Kacey Ainsworth), left the serial opera in 2006. Will he, however, be going back to Albert Square to announce Little Mo’s passing?
According to BBC soap opera spoilers, an 18-year-old Freddie will return this fall.

Fans of EastEnders will know that he left Albert Square with Little Mo because her husband Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick), who learned Freddie was the son of Mo’s rapist Graham Foster, couldn’t care for him (Alex McSweeney). The rapist teased Billy about Freddie becoming just like him as a child and expressed excitement to meet his son once he was released from prison.

Little Mo moved in with her family after Billy, who struggled to cope with everything, eventually divorced her.

Little Mo never had an easy life on EastEnders, and she is arguably most remembered for being the subject of a domestic violence plot line that her first husband Trevor Morgan perpetrated against her (Alex Ferns).

Oliver Cousins, her son’s doctor, became a connection for the character after her marriage to Billy and a disastrous relationship with Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) were over (Tom Ellis).

But once she pushed him too far and packed her bags to leave Albert Square with Freddie, everything came to a heartbreaking conclusion.

Away from Walford, did she and Freddie find the happiness they deserved?

While Freddie’s impending return has been confirmed by the soap opera’s executives, Little Mo’s homecoming has not.

Could Freddie be returning to Albert Square to inform her family that she has tragically passed away?

As he adjusts to life without his mother, would he eventually move in with his aunt Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace)?
