Johnny Ruffo, who starred in Home and Away, was all smiles as he posed for Christmas photos with his partner, despite the fact that he has been battling brain cancer for another year.

Tahnee Sims, Johnny’s girlfriend, posted the gorgeous photos to Instagram, where they were showered with love from fans and friends.

Tahnee and Johnny posed for a selfie in matching gingerbread man pyjamas in one of the photos.

Tahnee captioned the photo, “Matching pj’s are always a smart idea.”

Fans remarked that a cheerful Johnny was “looking well” in the photo, as he and Tahnee both smiled for the camera.

Another photo captured Johnny lovingly planting a kiss on Tahnee’s cheek.

“Tis the season,” Tahnee captioned the snap which prompted Johnny’s Home and Away co-star Lynne Mcgranger to reply: “Love you two”.

“Beautiful,” another fan wrote simply.

“You two are gorgeous,” another gushed.

Tahnee shared a series of Polaroid-style photographs on her Instagram on Tuesday, demonstrating how special the couple’s Christmas was.

A shirtless Johnny was among the holiday photographs, which also included family photos taken beside a paddling pool and a massively decked Christmas tree.

“Making mems,” Tahnee captioned the photos.

The photos were released more than three months after Johnny provided the most recent update on his health.

“I’m still kicking along with my chemotherapy treatment, feeling pretty exhausted but I’m doing great otherwise & not giving up the fight,” Johnny wrote.

“Thanks for all the support!!”

In late 2020 Johnny was forced to tell fans his cancer had returned.

“After an unexpected week of seizures and excruciating headaches it is with a heavy heart that I have to let you know I now have another huge battle ahead of me as my brain cancer has returned,” he wrote.

“Though I will dig deep and beat this s**t disease again.”
