It’s the takedown fans have been waiting for – and this week, Stunning Organics may finally pay for their many crimes.
In Home And Away, the dodgy skincare company has appointed a new CEO – Carey (Eloise Snape) – and invited former brand ambassador Marilyn (Emily Symons) to be a special guest at their media conference.
The business plans to move past its past and reinvent itself as a modern enterprise. But is this a new con?
The previous CEO of Stunning Organics was recently shown to be a suspect in threats against Marilyn and the bombing that came dangerously close to taking John (Shane Withington) and Roo (Georgie Parker)’s lives.
Since then,
Marilyn has worked to bring all the victims to justice.
“The horror that her friends have been hurt because of her involvement [with the company] is forefront in her mind,” says 53-year-old Emily to TV WEEK. “Roo is still seriously hurt and has been taken to a city hospital.”
Marilyn isn’t duped by Stunning Organics’ persistent phone calls and emails inviting her to the event, especially when they offer her a $25,000 appearance fee! Alf (Ray Meagher) steps in, preventing her from saying no. He has a thought.
Carey enthusiastically welcomes Marilyn to the press conference and invites her to speak. She nods in agreement, but her buddy Alf (Ray Meagher) soon joins her at the podium. He forces Carey to acknowledge her guilt by presenting pictures of his sick daughter Roo in the hospital.
Alf’s actions back Carey into a corner and she angrily lashes out that she “doesn’t care” about Roo’s condition. Nearby, Kirby (Angelina Thomson) records the entire thing.
Marilyn breathes a sigh of relief as the media in attendance seize on the story. It seems the nightmare could finally be over.
