Anthony, a trainee accountant, was up to play last, and comfortably made it through to the final round

The Chase viewers recognized a competitor right away because they thought he looked exactly like an EastEnders great. On Thursday night’s episode of the ITV game show, Laurence, Tracey, Hayley, and Anthony competed against Anne Hegerty, aka The Governess, for the chance to win a significant sum of money (July 14).

Anthony, a student accountant who was scheduled to play last, easily advanced to the championship game. But spectators couldn’t help but make comments on his celebrity resemblance during the entire performance.

They said he was a twin of Joe Swash, who portrayed Mickey Miller in the popular BBC soap and is getting married to Stacey Solomon later this month. However, fans were divided over whether he resembled the

Joel Dommett, a soap opera star or host of The Masked Singer. They posted their comments on Twitter. Well, I turned on the TV and I thought @realjoeswash was on #TheChase with the competitors, remarked @xdebbiej23x. “#TheChase Anthony looks like a cross between Joel Dommet and Joe Swash,” @suzysasha commented.

“Joel Dommett’s career’s obviously taken a turn #thechase,” @mr johnny mac continued.

All four candidates made it through to the final, where they competed for a £22,000 payout. They finished with a score of 19 accurate answers, and Bradley told them they still needed a few to win.

He was mistaken, though, as they won the jackpot and Anne Hegerty still needed five more accurate responses to catch them.
