On Monday’s episode of the ITV soap opera Emmerdale, a confrontation between Dawn Taylor and Gabby Thomas took place. Who will emerge unhurt in the end?
During the most recent episode of the serial drama, Dawn Taylor from Emmerdale (played by Olivia Bromley) confronted Gabby Thomas after she had a hit on Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and blackmailed him.
Dawn and Billy are blissfully married, but earlier this summer, after being rejected by her ex-partner Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope), who came out as gay on their wedding day, Gabby tried him out.
She had been using blackmail on Billy, but once he confessed to Dawn, she confronted Gabby and reprimanded her for her behavior.
When Gabby approached Billy and then turned to take a cheap jab at her gay ex, Dawn remarked, “You must be so desperate to come onto my husband.
“I mean, self-respect really went out the window with you a long time ago.”
A hurt “All right Dawn, you’ve taken enough shoddy shots at me,” Gabby retorted.
Dawn, on the other hand, snapped back implacably, saying, “OK, how about this? Even if we share a home, we don’t want anything more to do with you in my opinion. Do you possess that? Have you got it, I asked? Good?”
When Billy and Dawn left Gabby standing in the Home Farm hallway, she nodded. Later in the episode, Kim Tate (Claire King) reaffirmed Dawn’s arguments to Gabby.
Many viewers now believe Gabby might be permanently quitting the serial opera. Hayley asked, “Can we send Gabby back to Portugal please?” on Twitter.
“Kim, send Gabby to one of those strict badly behaved teen camps in the USA #emmerdale,” another user said.
Kim is saying it like it is, said Matthew. Gabby, stop acting like a victim. Let’s hope she receives it.
Posted by Orville: “#Emmerdale Billy did well by informing Dawn the reality. I believe Gabby has to leave Home Farm because of her terrible behavior. Nicky has to be left alone because he is gay and not interested in Gabby. Yes, Nicky is mistaken, but Gabby needs treatment from an expert. (sic)
Mary, however, remarked: “For some strange reason everyone has let him off the hook despite his trying to rob them blind with no compassion towards Gabby. Poor Gabby is alone, deeply wounded and hurting after the cruel and fraudulent treatment by Nicky.”
