When it was revealed that Caleb had planned to use his sister-in-law Moira’s (Natalie J. Robb) company as a pawn in his revenge scheme against Kim Tate (Claire King), it appeared like this moment would never arrive.
In Emmerdale, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) just put his arguments with brother Caleb (William Ash) behind him, and Caleb has been welcomed into the family by taking a ceremonial drink from the Dingle welly.
Cain wasn’t about to forgive him easy, despite his repeated claims that he intended to make things right with Moira and his efforts to do so at the first available chance.
The moment Cain started to warm up to his brother, Caleb got into a scrap with hard man Harry (Robert Beck), and ever since, the two have been becoming closer.
And when the two brothers embark on a secret errand together in subsequent episodes, their bond will be put to the test.
When Cain receives a text, his mood suddenly shifts, and they are enjoying a pint and some brotherly banter in the Woolpack (not a statement we could have imagined saying a few weeks ago). He asks Caleb if he’d want to spend some time outside the hamlet, but he won’t say where or why.
The brothers agree to stick together no matter what happens after he begs Caleb to come up with an explanation they can use to justify their behavior against Moira and Chas (Lucy Pargeter).
However, where are they headed? Moira worries that Cain might be up to no good or that he might be in danger as she watches her husband leave the house with Caleb on their mysterious expedition.
She learns from Nate that the assignment he claimed to be working on was a deception, and she makes the decision to find out the truth in a new spoiler clip.
