At tonight’s NTAs, Bobby Brazier earned the Rising Star award. In his victory speech, he thanked his father, Jeff, who was visibly moved as he watched his son perform.
Bobby Brazier, a newcomer to EastEnders, won an honor at tonight’s NTAs.
The 20-year-old entered the room and paid tribute to his father by adding, “It has little to do with me and everything to do with my dad.”
“For the past 20 years, I’ve consistently heard him say, ‘Because I can,'” Bobby said, his face tense.
And him simply saying that…because I can, he said, before raising the trophy and beaming with pride.
The camera switched to his 44-year-old father Jeff Brazier, who was visibly moved as he saw his son win the Rising Star award.

In order to play Freddie Slater, Bobby joined the cast of EastEnders earlier this year.
Bobby thanked his EastEnders cast mates while he was on stage.
He said that their kindness, support, and mercy were everything he could have asked for.
He also made light of the fact that the other cast members are so skilled that he doesn’t even need to ask questions; by simply watching, he will improve on his own.
Bobby explained to Express.co.uk how he planned to celebrate his triumph after receiving it, saying: “I’ll have a dance tonight, if my dad wants to… When I see him, I fear I may cry.
He was also questioned about what he planned to do with his gong, to which he replied thoughtfully: “I just want to go and give it to my dad, or Lacey Turner.”
Additionally, Bobby is scheduled to compete in the 2023 season of Strictly Come Dancing.
