Famous EastEnders actors Kat Slater and Phil Mitchell have been in a loving relationship for a while and are getting married soon.

The romance between Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) on EastEnders is about to hit a hard spot, but their fast wedding might help.

In an unexpected turn of events, Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) confided in Phil about his recent prostate cancer diagnosis and asked him not to inform Kat.

Official spoilers, however, reveal that Phil mistakenly tells Kat about Alfie’s condition, which causes severe friction in their relationship.

Following their dispute, Phil Mitchel returns home sheepishly to Kat, who is upset that he stayed out all night.

During lunch, he swears to always be honest with her, but as a sly Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit) walks by, he quickly leaves.

As a result of Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) disappointing the lads, Kat decides to reserve the registry office.

Fortunately, there is a cancellation for the following week, so she quickly books it so she can wed Phil.

In the Vic, happy with her recent booking, Kat shares the news that she and Phil will wed the next week, leaving the locals astonished yet overjoyed.

Has Kat hurriedly wed Phil out of concern that she might lose Alfie to his prostate cancer? After scurrying away when he saw Emma, is Phil concealing yet another secret? Has he cheated on you?

When Alfie learns that his soul mate is finally getting married, how will he feel?

In an effort to win back Kat and bring their family back together, Alfie went to Walford last year. Kat and Alfie have a troubled history.

Kat, who made it plain that she loved Phil and desired to be with him, corrected him, nevertheless.

EastEnders executive producer Chris Clenshaw commented on Alfie’s storyline, saying, “When we first embarked on this storyline we knew it was imperative that we worked alongside Prostate Cancer UK and Macmillan Cancer Support to take on and accurately portray such an emotional and pivotal storyline for Alfie, and one that many viewers may relate to.”
