Before Lauren vanished, Daniel had been her tutor. Bobby Crawford puts Daniel on the police’s radar, even though Roy Cropper is the primary suspect and is currently in detention.
In later moments on Coronation Street, Bethany tries her hardest to convince Daniel to come for a walk and forget about Lauren.
Max tells Abi that he has no idea what he’s talking about as Daniel and Bethany leave the café. Outside, Daniel lashes out at Max for wasting their time and reporting him to the police.
Max is horrified to learn who called the police on Daniel and phones the factory to demand an explanation from Bobby about Bobby’s omission to inform him of Daniel’s role in Lauren’s disappearance.
Later, Daniel gets the notion to phone Nicky after Bethany finds an online article implying that Lauren was employed as an escort.
Max is found by Bethany in the café, where she tells him to fire Daniel since the man is a nice, gentle man who is being falsely accused.
Max decides to follow Daniel as he leaves to see Nicky.
Daniel runs across Nicky and her companion Deana in the precinct.
Excitedly observing, Max uses his phone to snap a few photos before telling Bobby that he knows Daniel is obviously hiding something and that Nicky is a sex worker.
Kimberly Hart-Simpson portrays Nicky, who made her screen debut in Weatherfield in 2020.
When Daniel hired her to help after his wife Sinead Tinker passed away, she unexpectedly became friends with him.
Kimberly departed the soap opera two years ago, but she hinted on Instagram that she was back filming Corrie.
In recent weeks, she began to follow Vicky Myers, Callum Lill, and Channique Sterling-Brown, the stars of Corrie.
The performers, who portray Ds. Swain, Joel Deering, and Dee-Dee Bailey, respectively, are new to the serial opera; they have never before appeared with Kimberly.
But throughout the coming weeks, they’re all going to be connected with Daniel.
