Corrie fans were gutted in 2014 when Tina McIntyre, played by Michelle Keegan, was killed off – but it seems a return could be on the cards for the beloved much-loved character

There may be a significant twist in store for Coronation Street when Tina McIntyre returns.

2008 saw Michelle Keegan make her soap opera debut as the beautiful bartender. It’s safe to say that she quickly gained popularity.

Tina was also involved in a number of significant soap opera storylines. Her stay at Weatherfield was filled with drama, ranging from her numerous affairs to her conflicts with other inhabitants.

But in 2014, after spending five years on the well-known cobblestones, Tina was killed after being shoved off a balcony. Even though she made it through the fall, Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) fatally struck her character with a metal rod.

Destined for greater and better things, Michelle has kept herself occupied since her untimely departure by landing parts in comedic shows Brassic on Sky and the BBC hit Our Girl. Additionally, she starred in the critically acclaimed Netflix film Fool Me Once.

However, it appears that Michelle, in the role of Tina, may be making a comeback. InstantCasino has released unique odds on Michelle’s comeback to the soap opera, which the bookies have pegged at 50/1.

Furthermore, a PR specialist believes that a comeback may occur as a result of the show’s declining popularity. “With such a shift in the type of content people like to watch, bosses are seeing and feeling this too,” Rochelle White exclusively told us.

“They know Michelle has had a great run of popular shows like Brassic, Our Girl, and Fool Me Once,” the speaker stated in reference to Michelle. It makes sense that they would try to get her back.

Rochelle continued, “She helps capture that younger demographic and has a loyal fan base.” Unfortunately, because the show is viewed as “old” and doesn’t particularly appeal to younger audiences, its popularity has plummeted. This can have an effect that raises the number of people watching the show.

Dom Aldworth, Head of Brand Marketing at Slingo, informed us that Tina might return in a dream sequence as a result of her death. According to him, Michelle might make a comeback through various means, like seeing ghosts appear to other characters or through flashbacks or dream sequences, which have happened throughout the history of the soap opera.
